Prom!!!!

       Sophia's Prom 04/12/25

Hello. My name is Sophia, and this is my first blog. I am a senior in high school, and this is the last year that I am going to have a prom, so I had to make it the best one ever. First, we had to figure out what and where we would eat, and we decided on catering from Chipotlewhich was honestly the best decision ever. It was simple and easy because everyone got exactly what they wanted. I totally recommend doing this.

I decided to host this year because I love hosting and having people at my house. I invited my friend from another school, with whom I went to middle school. It would be such a full circle moment because she went to our Homecoming freshman year, and now came to our prom. We went to different high schools and are now going to other colleges.
It will be challenging to be away from her, but I cherish all my memories with her. I whipped out my professional camera and we took some of the best pictures of our lives. We decided to go to a park near my house. It was windy, but it was still so much fun. The theme this year was Mama Mia,so I got this beautiful bright
Turquoise sparkly prom dress, it was so Mama Mia.
I did not get any bronzing drops, so my face was white the entire night compared to the rest of my body, but mistakes were made, and I just need to move on. We arrived at the dance and enjoyed dancing to all the songs and singing. They did not play as much of the ABBA soundtrack as I wanted, b
ut that's okay. It was a memorable night, as I tried to make it one. The girls in the photo are my best friends. I have known the one on the bottom right since middle school. We went to the same high school and are going to the same college next year. I have loved her my entire life, and the girl in the bottom left is the girl from another school, and we are going to different collegesI have known both since middle school; they are the best people I know, and I care about them dearly, and I am behind the girl in the green dress.

They had some snacks at the dance, and I grabbed a tiny tiramisu, my favorite dessert. Then I went on the dance floor and danced with my friends. They also had lemonade, another one of my favorite drinks, and finally, ICE CREAM, my favorite again. They crowned prom queen and prom king, but I did not hear who was crowned, so that's unfortunate. My friend and I got a caricature, and we looked the same, which we do not. That was silly. We then returned to my house, hung out, took more amazing pictures, had some ramen and an ice cream cake, and watched the black mirror until 3 in the morning. It was a pretty memorable night, but I am sad that it is over now because this means that graduation is right around the corner. That is all I have about prom, but don't worry. This is the start of what is going to be a fantastic blog, as this would be a good way to remember my last month in high school, so stick around to find out. - Sophia Out
